Fritz Schaefler

The relocation to Cologne in 1927 led to numerous artist friendships, such as with Heinrich Maria Davringhausen and the „Cologne Progressives“. Schaefler's commitment as the organiser of the various artists' balls at the Cologne carnival and the urbanity of the Rhine metropolis are used as subjects for his paintings.
