Fritz Schaefler

In Munich, Schaefler maintains contact with the Brücke artist Erich Heckel and is closely familiar with the group's subjects. Schaefler continuously painted the subject of the bathers in watercolours and translated this into his own intensely colourful style of painting, which was successfully exhibited during the 1920s.
